Welcome Back

A Message from the Principal….

Welcome back to all returning students and a special welcome to all new families who have moved to our school over the summer. I hope that everyone enjoyed a relaxing and fun-filled summer.  I am looking forward to meeting our students and parents as we begin the new school year.

Our staff has been in the school over the past few weeks preparing classrooms, organizing resources and gathering information to prepare for their students. Mr. Quinn and Mr. Clements have worked hard to have the school sparkling clean for the first day. Mrs. Degnan has worked diligently getting the Main Office ready to ensure we are ready to get underway.

I would also like to take the opportunity to welcome some new staff who join our school community this year.  Mrs. Principe, Program Support, Mrs. Gonzalez grade 6/7 and Ms. Edgely, Curriculum Coverage.  

We are a Gold certified ECO school and in order to reduce our consumption of paper, we will continue to post our news each month on the school website which can be accessed at www.dcdsb.ca under Schools. Please take a few moments to subscribe to our News and Calendar web pages which will give you regular updates with regards to school news and events.

Let me take this opportunity to extend to you my best wishes for an excellent start and a highly successful school year.  Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s teacher or the office at any time if you have a question or concern. We are here to provide the best environment possible so that each student feels happy, safe, and cared for, so that they will be ready to work and learn to the best of his/her potential.
