Welcome to the Virtual Program at St. André Bessette Catholic School!
Our diverse elementary student community ranges from Kindergarten to Grade 8 from across the Durham Region. The Virtual Program provides students with 21st Century Learning, Religion and Family Life, Literacy, Numeracy, Physical Education and Health, Art and Music, Drama and Dance, French (Grades 4-8) and clubs.
In order to connect with your virtual classroom:
- Students will need their DCDSB login information to access all they need for online class. If you can’t remember it, your new homeroom teacher will be able to help you on your first day. (Your email is the same as last year. Your studentnumber@dclive.ca and a password)
- During the 2022/2023 school year, our students will use the EDSBY platform to access their link to their virtual class.
- To log in, students need to go to dcdsb.ca -> Students -> Launchpad Learning Portal and enter their DCDSB email and password.
- Students then click on EDSBY, our board approved Learning Management Program. Once in Edsby, you need to look for your "Homeroom Class" tab under classes. Once in your "Homeroom Class", a button to join your educators and classmates at the top will appear when the class is in session. Students will simply click on that button and be taken into a waiting room where their educator will admit them into their virtual class.
